History of Soronian
Soronian was founded in 1847 by eight female students at Olivet College, becoming the first sorority nationally. During that time, the group was called Soronian Literary Society until it was recognized in 1868, gaining the Greek letters Iota Kappa Omicron. After 171 years of sisterhood, Soronian has proven to be a prevalent force within the Olivet College community by always bringing positive attributes to the table.
